Forget the Odds, Just Do It

LIFE HAS BEEN SO busy lately. Sometimes I feel like my head is spinning trying to stay current with two blogs, working a full time job, keeping my various writing projects going, not to mention being a wife and mother. And now I'd like to add working in the garden to the repertoire because spring has officially sprung here, finally.

During a few minutes of blog surfing today I came across Jane Friedman's Blog. She has a guest post by Nick Thacker. I thought the message was quite germane to my goal of being a writer and author. Basically Mr. Thacker advocates being naive. You'll have to read it for yourself to see what he means.

As always
my dear friends,

  1. Good morning Grace ~ I know what you mean about feeling like you are spinning. So much to do, so little time.

Thank you for the link to Nick Thacker's post. It was inspiring and encouraging.

Enjoy the rest of your week, and I hope you get to play in your lovely gardens.

  5. Grace, I feel overwhelmed a lot, too, and end of spinning my wheels instead of doing anything.

Thanks for linking to that post. I enjoyed it. I espcially liked his point that even if our efforts are great, at least we completed something.

  6. This is the second time in this hour I have seen "Just Do It". Message received...now which "it" shall I "do"?

  7. I shall go read it (as soon as I find time). :)

There are not enough hours in the day, Grace. And then we do something like add chickens to our load... and now we have to build a run for them because I don't want them to be "cooped" up. But life is good and I cannot imagine being idle... nor you.

    Don't forget, sunshine this weekend.

  8. So much to do, but planning and then getting on with things is so much better than just worrying about them all!

  9. Grace this is something I needed to read. They say the bumble isn't supposed to be able to fly - it doesn't seem to know that information. We all need that.

  10. I've always found that the busier the person, the more they can do, fit in, accomplish. Maybe partly because of being extremely organized? I'm thinking I'll start getting organized right after I grab my coffee here...
